Scoring
Aces- 11 points
Face Cards -10 points
Numbered cards- the point value of the card
Only cards of the same suit are counted in total
*Exception- You may also go for 3 of a kind which will get a score of 30 points
Setup
One 52-card deck.
Each player gets 3 chips
Deal three cards to each player. Place the remaining deck in the center of the table. Turn up the first card of the remaining deck and place it next to it, forming the discard pile.
Game play
The player sitting to the left of the dealer goes first. On each player’s turn, they have the option to draw the top card of the discard pile, adding it to their hand. If they don’t want it, they draw the top, unknown card of the stock. The player then discards one card face-up to the discard pile, returning their hand to three cards. Play continues on with the next player to the left.
Play continues until any player is satisfied with their hand. They can knock on the table instead of drawing. This initiates the last round Play continues, with each player, except for the person who knocked, taking one more turn to finalize their hands. When the turn of play returns to the player who knocked, hands are then revealed, the lowest point value puts a chip into the pot. In the case of a tie for lowest points, all players with the lowest points puts a chip in.
The person who knocks must beat at least one person. If the knocker ties for lowest only the knocker puts in a chip.
If at any time someone draws a card and gets 31 points they immediately knock like crazy and show their hand and everyone else has to put in a chip. Play continues until one person has chip(s) left.
